Lucy Adey is the Co-Founder and Recruitment Director of Pipeline Partners. Pipeline exists to build high performing teams within purpose-led brands focused on the health and wellness market.
Utilizing her 15 years’ experience in HR, employment law and recruitment; nine of these within the health and wellness industry, Lucy supports startups and scaling boutique fitness and fitness technology brands with building teams and providing strategic people advice to CEO’s, Founders and leadership teams.
Lucy’s career has been built on a foundation of experience as a labor attorney with a top 6 New Zealand commercial legal practice and legal recruiter for a leading international staffing firm. Moving into the talent space with leading international fitness brand, Les Mills, Lucy spent almost 10 years working with senior leadership to execute Les Mills’ strategy to create a global distribution of their world-class group fitness products and services. From creating the blueprint for the people strategy and toolkits for Les Mills’ new global offices to recruiting teams and executive leadership across the US, UK, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, Lucy has worked directly with the global leadership of Les Mills to build and develop global teams to support Les Mills purpose of creating a fitter planet. In her last role at Les Mills, Lucy was the Global People & Culture Performance Director, working with CEOs and Senior Leadership Teams across all Les Mills offices to drive performance and support the development of their global businesses.
Since leaving Les Mills in July 2019, Lucy has focused on executive search and consulting across the US and UK. Some examples of her work include: HR consulting and studio recruitment for the Orangetheory master franchise in the Midlands and Northern England, the successful search and appointment of two executive positions for a boutique fitness brand in NYC, the successful search and appointment of an executive sales position for a fitness technology startup in the UK and the successful search and appointment of a Head of Franchise Development for a boutique fitness brand in London.
With degrees in Law and Psychology from the University of Otago and an Associate CIPD (the UK’s version of SHRM) accreditation, Lucy brings a blend of education, experience and practical application to talent strategy and executive search.
